Maruti suzuki launched New SUV Jimmy like Thar
The Maruti Jimny, the sporty off-roader, has finally arrived to challenge the unchallenged leader of the affordable lifestyle SUV market in India. With its arrival, the affordable lifestyle SUV market has finally grown. This five-door off-roader will be a major rival to the Mahindra Thar, despite the fact that prices have not yet been announced. The following is a list of the advantages that the Jimny has over the Thar in comparison to the two offerings in the sub-4-meter range:
Jimny 5-door with rear doors for easier access The five-door Jimny is still a four-seater, but the addition of the rear doors makes it easier to get to the rear seats. In the meantime, the three-door Thar's rear seats are relatively difficult to get into and out of.
Usable boot space in the Maruti Jimny The longer wheelbase of the India-spec Jimny opens up some legroom in the rear seats, but the rest seems to have been used to provide a usable boot space. The Jimny has 208 liters of luggage space when the rear row is in use, which is significantly more than the Thar has. A side-hinged tailgate with a spare wheel attached is still available on both.
The rear window panels on the three-door Mahindra SUV with the hardtop are fixed in place, as are the rear seats in the Maruti Jimny and its functional rear windows. In the meantime, the five-door Jimny has electrically operated functional rear windows that improve passenger comfort in the back.
Jimny with six airbags Maruti introduced the Jimny as a well-equipped model with numerous standard safety features, including six airbags. Despite the fact that the Thar received a GNCAP safety rating of four stars, it is not available in any variant with more than two front airbags.
Auto LED projector headlamps with washers Maruti Jimny headlight washer The Jimny's front fascia isn't as striking as the Thar's, but the LED projector headlamps with small DRLs make it more useful. It even comes with washers for the headlamps to keep them clean and maintain your visibility while off-roading. Halogen headlamps are the only option for the Mahindra SUV, and they do not even come with an automatic function.
Maruti Jimny with nine-inch touchscreen and larger central display The new five-door Jimny comes equipped with a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen system from Maruti called SmartPlay Pro+ and a four-speaker Arkamys sound system. It also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity. In contrast, the Mahindra Thar features a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with out-of-date graphics and a rugged, subpar design.
Auto air conditioning with digital readout in Maruti Jimny The auto air conditioning with digital readout in the climate control console is a small but useful comfort feature. Even in the most expensive model, the Mahindra Thar only comes with an AC that can be set manually.
The new five-door Jimny has some of the same functional advantages as the three-door Thar. The new Maruti Nexa SUV is currently taking reservations, and its release is anticipated for March 2023. It is anticipated to cost Rs 10 lakh, while the rear-wheel-drive Mahindra Thar starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
